Daily Reflection for August 5, 2018

A brother came to Scetis to visit Abba Moses and asked him for a word. The old man said to him, ‘Go, sit in your cell, and your cell will teach you everything.’

This is the Lord’s advice as well: ‘…go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen (Matthew 6:6).’ This inner room or cell is the cave of the heart.
