On November 13^th, the feast of All the Saints of the Benedictine Family, Sr. Barbara and her community of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery had the joy of celebrating the 6oth anniversary of her monastic consecration.  She initially joined Mount Saint Mary’s Abbey, in Wrentham Massachusetts and 31 years later was sent to Our Lady of the Angels, in Crozet, Virginia as one of the foundresses.

In a simple but moving celebration with some of the monks of Holy Cross Abbey also present, Sr Barbara gave thanks to the Lord for his fidelity in her life and all the blessings she has received.  As she shared at the gathering after the celebration of the Eucharist, her love for community life through all these years has been the greatest of gifts she has received from the Lord.
