The community of Our Lady of the Santa Ritas Abbey welcomed Sharon Bezner as a postulant on March 24, the eve of the Feast of the Annunciation. Sharon is a native of Texas and worked a number of years in the physical therapy profession. She made a six-week observership with us earlier this year, and after returning home for a few weeks of discernment, asked to be received as a postulant. Postulant Sharon is participating fully in our prayer and community work, and is studying the Rule of St. Benedict and other aspects of the monastic life with Sr. Rita in the novitiate.
