Mepkin Abbey- Having completed the year as a postulant and believing God was calling him to advance in the monastic journey, Brother Richard asked Father Joe, superior at  to receive the novice habit. Completing the process of discernment, Father Joe affirmed Brother Richard to advance.
In their conversations came the discussion of a new name. It was determined that, inspired by the example of Saint Clement of Rome, Brother Richard would now be known in our community as Brother Clement.  Amy God bless him as he continues to respond to God’s call to live a contemplative monastic life.
