First Profession of Sisters Annie and Mary

On August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven, Sr. Annie and Sr. Mary made their first profession of vows at Our Lady of the Mississippi Abbey, Dubuque, Iowa.  At Chapter they professed their vows and then their white scapulars were removed and were given the black scapular of a professed sister. They also received a leather belt, symbolizing being bound by their vows.
